BULA!!!

Dear friends, family and visitors,

I am pleased to show you my pictures of Fiji. Fiji is such a nice place to stay. There are many things and spots to see. The population is absolutely marvellous. Smiling, trying to help you as much as they can and never complaining about their lives.

In Fiji you come across two different races. One is Fijian and the other one is Indian. They are quite different . Fijian people are poorer and live in the villages. Indian are running many more businnesses and live on Tourism. I should say that Fijian people are much closer to African people. The way they look is more similar to African people than Indian people.

Tourists think that Indian people are much "pushier" than Fijian people and I have to confess that I felt the same. But I am not here to talk about stereotypes because it is obviously a stereotype!

I landed in Nadi (pronounced Nan-dhi) on the 6th of April and spent nine days with my friend from Belgium, Chris. We had a nice time together and I was thrilled to see him back...at the end of the world. Chris has been working in Savu Savu ( Fiji ) for 6 months now and is planning to spend a few more months over there, maybe a couple of years. Who knows...?

So let me take you and show you paradise!
